What this is
Domain exclusions allow you to control where your programmatic ads will not appear by specifying domains to exclude.
This helps ensure your ads are not shown on unwanted or irrelevant websites, and is commonly used for brand safety and campaign optimization.
When to use this
Use domain exclusions when you want to:
Prevent ads from appearing on specific websites
Avoid certain types of content or publishers
Apply brand safety controls
Refine where your ads are delivered
How it works
When a domain is excluded:
Your ads will not be delivered on that website
The exclusion applies only to programmatic ad delivery
Your ads will continue to be delivered across other available and eligible inventory
Domain exclusions reduce the number of placements where your ads are eligible to appear, which may impact overall reach and delivery.
Where domain exclusions can be applied
Domain exclusions can be configured at two levels, depending on how broadly you want them to apply.
Workspace-level exclusions
You can set default domain exclusions that apply across your entire workspace.
To configure:
Go to Workspace Settings (by clicking the profile icon)
Find your workspace and click the “...” menu
Select Edit
Add domains under Default Domain Exclusions
These exclusions will apply to all programmatic ads in your workspace .
Campaign-level exclusions
You can also apply domain exclusions to a specific plays within a campaign
To configure:
Go to your campaign
Navigate to the Launch tab
Click View Channel
Select the Launch button
Open Advanced Options
Enter domains in the domain exclusion field
Domains should be entered as comma-separated values.
These exclusions will apply only to the selected plays .
When to use each option
Use workspace-level exclusions when you want to block domains across all campaigns
Use play-level exclusions when you want to control placements for a specific play without affecting others
Important notes
Workspace-level exclusions apply to all campaigns unless adjusted at the campaign level
Campaign-level exclusions apply only to that specific campaign
Domain exclusions must be entered as comma-separated values (e.g., example.com, sampledomain.com)
Excluding too many domains may reduce available inventory and impact delivery
