What This Is
Use the Account Upload feature in the Audience tab to upload your existing account list to build your audience. Propensity matches your file, list, or report against its database to build a target audience for your ABM campaign.
There are three ways to upload an account list: CSV, Salesforce, and HubSpot.
Note: Account lists should be for accounts only.
CSV Upload
Upload a .csv file with accounts to create a new audience list. The file must include the column Website, listing the company domain. This is the primary field for recognizing accounts.
If you do not have websites for your accounts, you can use Company Name as a column in your CSV instead.
To upload:
- Download the CSV template, if needed
- Enter a List Name
- Click Upload and select your completed CSV file
- Click Submit List
Find your list in the Audience tab after uploading.
CSV uploads are static lists, based on the time of import.
Acceptable Website URL examples: www.propensity.com, propensity.com, HTTP://www.propensity.com
Salesforce and HubSpot
You can also connect CRM Reports to create an audience. Unlike CSV uploads, Salesforce and HubSpot lists can refresh automatically based on your selected Audience Refresh Schedule.
Salesforce
Select a Salesforce report to import accounts from. Your report must include the Website column for the data to be processed correctly.
- Enter an Audience Name
- Select your Salesforce Report
- Select your Audience Refresh Schedule
- Click Submit
HubSpot
Select a HubSpot list to import accounts from. Only accounts with a Website value in your list will be processed.
- Enter an Audience Name
- Select your HubSpot List
- Select your Audience Refresh Schedule
- Click Submit
Audience Refresh Schedule
Available for Salesforce and HubSpot imports. Determines how often Propensity refreshes the audience from the connected source:
- Manual Refresh Only
- Weekly Automated
- Daily Automated
Identifying Your List Type in My Audiences
After uploading, you can find your list in My Audiences. Each audience displays:
- An icon next to the audience name indicating whether it is an Account list (building icon) or a Contact list (person icon). The list type can also be found when clicking View Details
- A List Type column showing how the audience was created, such as Upload, Salesforce Report, Contact List, or Merged Audience
Important Notes
- Account uploads do not include an Email Match Type setting, unlike Contact Upload, since account lists are matched by website or company name rather than email
- When editing uploaded audience lists, all filters can be modified except the Page Visited filter
- The Intent Signals filter only works if a Minimum Propensity Score is applied (must be set to at least 1)
