What this is
Connections in Propensity allow you to securely link external platforms, such as CRMs, advertising channels, and collaboration tools, to your workspace. These connections enable Propensity to sync data, manage campaigns, and retrieve reporting information across your ABM workflows.
When to use this
Use the Connections area when you need to:
Enable advertising channels (for example, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Reddit, TikTok)
Sync data with your CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot)
Connect third-party tools used for outreach, analytics, or collaboration
Grant or manage access required before launching campaigns or syncing data
Most campaigns and integrations require at least one active connection before they can be launched or fully configured.
What you’ll see in the Connections page
The Connections page provides a centralized view of all available integrations in your workspace.
For each connection, you can see:
Connection type: The platform or service being connected (for example, Salesforce, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Status: Whether the connection is active or inactive
Access actions: Options to grant or remove access for that connection
Description: A description of the permissions Propensity requests from the connected platform
Connections are configured at the workspace level and can be reused across multiple campaigns.
Common connection types
Connections in Propensity generally fall into the following categories:
CRM connections
Used to sync accounts, contacts, leads, and engagement data.
Examples:
Salesforce
HubSpot
These connections are required for CRM sync settings, reporting, and sales activation workflows.
Advertising and media channels
Used to launch, manage, and report on paid campaigns.
Examples:
LinkedIn
Google Ads
TikTok
Facebook
Reddit
These connections are required before activating the corresponding ad channels in campaigns.
Sales and collaboration tools
Used to support outreach, engagement, or internal workflows.
Examples:
Salesloft
Slack
These connections enable specific workflows or notifications but may not be required for all users.
Granting and managing access
To activate a connection:
Go to Workspace settings
Open Connections
Locate the platform you want to connect
Click Grant Access
Authenticate with the external platform and approve the requested permissions
Some platforms (such as Salesforce) may offer separate options for production and sandbox environments.
Once connected, the status updates to Active and the related features become available in Propensity.
Permissions and access considerations
Connection access is tied to the external account credentials used during authentication
The permissions requested vary by platform and determine what actions Propensity can perform
If permissions are missing or revoked, related features may fail or become unavailable
Some connections require elevated permissions (such as admin or operator access) to configure or manage
Always ensure the connected account has sufficient permissions for the intended use case.
