What This Is
Global Search lets you search across multiple record types in Propensity from a single interface, including Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Campaigns, Plays, and Audiences. By default, results are filtered to Accounts only, but you can expand the search to include additional record types.
When to Use This
Use Global Search when you need to quickly locate a specific account, contact, lead, campaign, play, or audience without navigating to each section individually.
Finding Global Search
You can find the Global Search bar by following the steps:
- Log into Propensity
- Click the search bar at the top of the page
Searching
- Enter your search term in the search field
- Under Search in, select the checkboxes for the record types you want to include. Hover over the ⓘ icon next to each type for a description of what it includes
- Click Submit
- Results appear grouped by record type. Each group displays relevant columns for that type
Understanding Your Results
Each record type returns different information:
Accounts - shows the account name, website, industry, and description.
Contacts - shows the contact's website, job title, email, phone, social profiles, and last website visit. Contacts come from Propensity's global database. To sync a contact to your CRM, you must first claim them as a lead. Once claimed, the sync option becomes available directly in the Contacts results.
Leads - shows the contact's name, company, website, job title, email, phone, social profiles, and last website visit. Leads are contacts you have already claimed from the global database. From this section, you can search for or sync a lead directly to Salesforce or HubSpot.
Campaigns - shows active and inactive campaigns associated with your workspace.
Plays - shows play name, start and end dates, type, and status.
Audiences - shows audience name, account count, buying circle count, list type, and creation and last updated dates.
Syncing Leads to Your CRM
You can search for or sync leads to Salesforce or HubSpot directly from the Leads section of your search results.
- Locate the lead in the results
- In the CRM Links column, click the Salesforce or HubSpot icon
- Select Search in Salesforce, Sync to Salesforce, Search in HubSpot, or Sync to HubSpot, depending on your CRM and what you need to do
Claiming a Contact as a Lead
Unlike Leads, which are contacts already associated with your workspace, Contacts in Global Search are pulled from Propensity's global database and cannot be synced to your CRM until they have been claimed. Claiming a contact adds them to your Leads and unlocks the option to search for or sync them to Salesforce or HubSpot, both from the Contacts and Leads sections of your results.
- Locate the contact in the Contacts section of your results
- In the CRM Links column, hover over the Claim icon.
- Click Claim Lead
- The contact now appears in both Contacts and Leads. The CRM sync option is available in both sections
