The Slack integration in Propensity helps your team respond faster to buyer signals. When someone visits your website or becomes a high-intent lead, Propensity sends a real-time alert to Slack. This allows sales to take immediate action without relying on dashboards or manual updates.
With the Slack integration, you can:
- Automatically alert your team when a target account or contact takes action
- Push lead and account insights into Slack, including job title, email, phone number, and LinkedIn profile
- Streamline marketing-to-sales handoffs by notifying the right people at the right time
This integration connects Propensity’s ABM platform with Slack to give your team real-time visibility into pipeline-building activity.
Add to Slack
To install the app for Slack, click the button below and follow the prompts to authorize Propensity in your Slack workspace.
Once connected, return to Propensity to complete your configuration. If you already use Propensity, you can also access this in your Workspace Settings → Connections → Slack.
How to Connect Slack
- Go to your Workspace Settings
- Click on the Connections tab
- Find Slack and click Grant Access

Click Allow to authorize the integration
Important: If you ever need to re-authenticate your Slack connection, reconnect to Slack in the Connections section (from Propensity Workspace Settings), then click Grant Access to Slack again when setting up an alert.
How to Add Slack Sales Alerts
- In Workspace Settings, go to the Sales Alerts tab.
- Click Add Alert.
- Under Alert Target, select Slack.
- Choose your Alert Trigger:
- Website Visit: when a matched contact visits your website
- Lead Becomes Hot: when a contact crosses your intent or lead score threshold
- Select the Slack channel where you want the alert sent. (You must click Save to get to this screen.)
- Toggle the Alert Status on or off depending on whether you want it active.
- Optionally, check ICP Only to limit alerts to contacts and accounts that fall within your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). When enabled, you will only receive notifications for ICP-matched visitors or leads, whether scored at the account level or contact level. Leave this unchecked to receive alerts for all qualifying activity regardless of ICP status.
- Click Save.
You can create multiple alerts based on different behaviors or segments. Each alert includes relevant contact details and activity context. You can send alerts to different Slack channels or remove alerts at any time.
Enabling Sales alerts for private Slack channels
You can set up Slack alerts in private channels. To do that, follow these steps:
- Add the Propensity app to the private Slack channel by mentioning "@Propensity" in the channel.
- Once the Propensity app is connected, you will see your channel available for selection under "Slack Channel" in Propensity.

All Slack access tokens are encrypted using SHA-256 encryption to ensure the highest level of security. Propensity does not store any user messages or channel content, only the minimum data required to send alerts.
