Google Video Ad
You can launch an audience from Propensity, but follow the steps below to kick off the campaign on YouTube. Google does not allow their video campaigns to be created outside their platform, the following steps will tell you how to connect and run your Google Video Ad and sync back to Propensity.
Set Up Requirements:
- Create your Google Video campaign in Google Ads Manager
- Connect your buying circle(s) to your Google Video play in Propensity
- Push your audience to upload to Google via Propensity Launch
Once your audience is sent, your Propensity Play status will remain pending until you launch your campaign on Google.
Set Up Requirements:
- In Google Ads Manager, connect your audience to your campaign
- Launch your campaign in Google Ads Manager
- IMPORTANT: each audience has a unique ID that ties your Google campaign to Propensity. If you use your audience more than once in Google, it will contaminate your analytics so be sure to connect the correct audience and only use that audience list one time in Google
Once your Google campaign is live, the analytics will automatically sync back to Propensity.
NOTE: After uploading an audience, it usually takes 1 to 4 days for Google to match contacts with active users in its database. Lists with around 30,000 users tend to perform better, frequently resulting in 2,000 to 3,000 matched users.
NOTE: To target contacts in an audience within Google Ads, the user has to have more than $50,000 total lifetime spent and 90 days of Google Ads history. If these requirements aren't met you can only set the audience to 'observation'. Observation ads are shown to a broader audience (including those not on the list), but you can still monitor how the users on the list behave compared to those who aren’t.
