What This Is
The Your Business tab in Apex (Propensity AI) helps you connect your business priorities, marketing goals, and brand identity to your conversations with Propensity AI.
It provides a starting point for reviewing your workspace information, deciding what to focus on next, and helping Apex understand what matters most to your business.
The tab includes guided actions to help you define marketing objectives, discuss current priorities, and explore your brand's messaging.
When to Use This
Use the Your Business tab when you want to:
- Review your current workspace information.
- Identify which marketing initiatives to prioritize.
- Define or refine your marketing goals.
- Explore your brand voice and messaging.
- Provide Apex with additional context about your business.
- Plan your next steps around specific marketing objectives.
Whether you're preparing a new campaign, reviewing your priorities, or exploring ways to improve your marketing strategy, Your Business offers a useful starting point for working with Apex.
How to Access Your Business
- Open Apex in Propensity.
- Select Your business from the Apex sidebar or click What Apex knows about your business
- Explore the available sections and select an action to start a conversation.
Your Workspace
The Your workspace section displays information associated with your current Propensity workspace.
It includes:
- Workspace: Displays the name of your current workspace
- Marketing focus: Encourages you to describe the business outcome you want Apex to help you achieve
- Review workspace settings: Opens your workspace settings, where you can review your workspace configuration
Your workspace provides the business environment in which you work with Propensity. If your organization manages different business units or markets through separate workspaces, reviewing the current workspace helps you establish the appropriate context before discussing marketing priorities with Apex.
What We're Working On
The What we're working on section helps you decide which marketing activity deserves your attention next.
Under Choose our next focus, you can introduce a campaign, target audience, or marketing brief that you'd like to explore with Apex.
Select Choose a focus together to prepare a conversation about your next priority. Apex can help you clarify what you're trying to accomplish and identify additional information needed to move forward.
For example, if you're deciding whether to improve an existing campaign, reach a new audience, or develop a new marketing initiative, you can discuss these options with Apex to explore which direction best aligns with your current goals.
This section provides a starting point for a conversation with Apex. It does not automatically update to display the campaigns, audiences, or marketing priorities discussed during your conversation.
Your Goals and Brand
The Your goals and brand section provides guided conversation starters to help you define your marketing objectives and explore how your business should communicate with its audience.
These options help you develop ideas and clarify your strategy through conversations with Apex. They do not automatically create or update saved marketing goals, brand guidelines, or workspace settings.
What Does Success Look Like?
Select Set a goal with Apex to start a conversation about what you want your marketing activities to achieve.
Apex can help you explore your desired business outcomes, target audience, timeframe, and ways to measure success.
For example, you can work with Apex to turn a broad objective, such as increasing engagement, into a more specific marketing goal.
The goal you discuss is not automatically saved as an official workspace objective. You can refer back to the conversation, but you should not assume the goal has been added to your workspace settings.
How Should Your Business Sound?
Select Shape your brand voice to start a conversation about your brand's tone, positioning, and messaging.
You can share brand guidelines, examples of existing content, or describe how you want your business to communicate. Apex can help you develop messaging ideas that reflect those preferences.
For example, you might explore how to make your messaging more professional, conversational, or technically focused.
The brand guidance developed during the conversation is not automatically saved as a permanent brand profile or applied to future marketing content. You can refer back to the conversation or provide the guidance again when needed.
Help Me Know You Better
The Help me know you better panel encourages you to discuss what success looks like for your business over the coming months.
Select Talk it through with Apex to start a guided conversation about your priorities for the quarter.
This can help you explore important outcomes, clarify marketing objectives, and work toward a practical plan.
For example, if your team is focusing on entering a new market, generating opportunities with a specific audience, or improving campaign performance, you can discuss these priorities with Apex to help organize your next steps.
You can use this conversation to develop ideas for your quarterly priorities, but the discussion does not automatically create or save a quarterly marketing plan in your workspace.
Context I Can Use
The Context I can use section explains the types of information that can help Apex understand your business and provide more relevant assistance.
It highlights three types of context.
Your Workspace
Your current Propensity workspace provides the business environment for your work with Apex.
Your Conversation
The details you provide during a conversation, such as the campaign you're discussing, the audience you want to reach, or the marketing brief you're developing, help Apex understand the task you're working on.
What You Share With Me
You can provide additional information, including marketing goals, brand guidance, examples, and supporting files, to give Apex more context for your requests.
For example, when asking Apex to help develop campaign messaging, you can also explain your target audience, desired outcome, and preferred communication style to guide the conversation toward your specific needs.
The information available to Apex depends on the context and capabilities available for the conversation. This section is an overview of useful context types, not a detailed inventory of every connected data source.
Starting a Conversation from Your Business
The actions throughout Your Business are designed to make starting a conversation easier.
When you select an action, Apex opens the Home conversation area and prepares a suggested prompt related to your selection.
You can review the suggested text, modify it to fit your situation, and select Send when you're ready.
This allows you to personalize each conversation based on your current business needs rather than starting with a blank prompt.
Important Notes
- Existing drafts are preserved. If you've already entered text in the conversation field, selecting another suggested prompt won't replace your draft. Edit or clear the existing text before adding a new prompt.
