What this is
The Overview section gives you a running snapshot of your entire GTM engine, from Identify through Measure, in one place. It shows how each stage is performing, how well your engine is set up, and where it needs attention next.
This section has two views: Snapshot and Health.
Snapshot
Snapshot is the default view when opening Overview.
A Health Snapshot timestamp at the top shows when the view was last calculated. An info icon next to it explains how the reporting period applies across stages (see Important Notes for the Launch exception). Snapshot reflects setup and activity only; it does not indicate whether an area is functioning correctly.
Recommended Action
A Recommended Action card surfaces the single highest-priority next step for the GTM engine, with a button linking directly to it. When more than one recommendation is available, users can move between them or pause the rotation.
View controls
Three controls above the stage cards adjust how the Snapshot is displayed:
- Design Options: changes how the stage cards are laid out. Eight designs are available (Stacked Funnel, Funnel Spine, Mini Sankey, Stage Stack, Validation Focus, Executive Funnel, Source Lanes, and Outcome First). The underlying data is the same across all designs; only the layout changes.
- Filters: sets the reporting period for the stage cards (30, 60, or 90 days).
- Show Stage Details: expands every stage card to show additional stage-specific metrics, along with an Open [Stage Name] button and a Close details button. Once active, the control changes to Hide Stage Details.
Stage cards
Below the controls, one card appears per stage of the GTM engine: Identify, Launch, Validate, Pursue, and Measure. Each card displays the stage's key metrics and a status tag showing how much evidence or configuration currently exists for it:
- Identify: Identified Accounts, Identified Contacts, Website Visits (30 days), Audiences
- Launch: Active Campaigns, Clicks (30 days), Impressions (30 days)
- Validate: Auto Validation count, and Manual Validation broken into Unresolved, Validated, and Invalidated
- Pursue: Accounts Worked
- Measure: Opportunities, Pipeline, Closed Won
The Validate card also links directly to configuring scoring or reviewing manual validation.
Health
Health shows how well the GTM engine is set up and configured, independent of whether it's operating successfully. It includes two tabs: Engine Setup and Engine Optimization.
Engine Setup
This tab lists a setup checklist covering the major areas of the engine: Workspace foundation, Data and signal sources, Audience and hypothesis, Scoring setup, Launch and activation, Validation, Pursuit and seller handoff, and Measurement.
Each item shows:
- A status (such as Ready, Needs setup, Not yet evaluated, etc.)
- A View evidence link showing how many pieces of evidence support that assessment
An item that needs attention can expand to show a recommended next step: what Propensity observed, what to do about it, and what should improve once resolved, along with a button to act on it directly and a link to manage the recommendation.
A setup progress summary at the bottom of the tab shows how many items are ready, need setup, or haven't been evaluated yet.
Engine Optimization
This tab provides a higher-level view of engine health: an overall status (such as Needs Attention), a horizontal tracker showing the status of each stage, and a Top Recommendation card highlighting the single highest-priority action across the entire engine, in the same observed/what to do/what should improve format used in Engine Setup.
Below that, three expandable sections give more detail:
- See all insights and evidence: the same setup checklist from Engine Setup, condensed, with each item's status and evidence count
- Evidence and reassessment: explains how the health check works. Acting on a recommendation and reassessing refreshes what Propensity has detected; configuration and operating evidence are tracked separately from effectiveness; there is no numeric health score or projected impact, only setup status and evidence
- Detailed stage evidence: shows all five stages side by side, each with its status, a count of its canonical capabilities, and how many currently have unknown evidence, with an expandable list of those capabilities
Both tabs include a Reassess Engine button to trigger a fresh evaluation.
Side Panel
The Overview side panel includes two sets of shortcuts:
- GTM Journey: direct links to each of the five stages, Identify, Launch, Validate, Pursue, and Measure
- Quick Actions: three shortcuts, Review setup (review your configuration), Open signals (explore your sources), and View health (review engine evidence)
Important Notes
- Metrics labeled "(30 days)" always use a fixed 30-day window, not the selected Filters period. This includes Identify's Website Visits and Launch's Clicks and Impressions. Launch's overall stage activity follows the same rule: it's always calculated over the last 30 days, and its active campaign count reflects what's active right now rather than the selected period
- A Ready or "configured" status doesn't confirm an area is operating successfully, or that permission to act on it has been granted. Engine Setup and Engine Optimization track configuration and observed evidence separately from whether something is working as intended
- Website Visits (on the Identify card) counts raw account-level visits, including repeat visits from the same visitor, not unique visitors
