Limited Use Policy
Propensity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Propensity uses the access granted to send emails on behalf of the email addresses connected to our service. We schedule emails to be sent at regular intervals to help automate the marketing processes directly from the user's inbox. That way, they maintain high deliverability and control over their email accounts without using a 3rd party server.
Propensity also uses the access to determine if a reply to an email sent from Propensity has occurred and logs the number of replies for the user to see that there was a reply. We also use the same endpoint to see if the reply is a bounce reply and notify the user that the email they sent bounced. We do not show the replies to the emails themselves, only that there has been a reply and whether or not the reply was a bounce. To know if the reply was a bounce then we need to be able to read the email reply.
An example of the analytics we return is shown in the screenshot below:
Sender Address
The Sender Address is the address Propensity emails will be sent from in your ABM campaigns. Recipients will see this address as the source/ sender of the messages in their inbox.
- Log into Propensity > Workspace Settings > Connections > Email Connections “Edit”
- Enter the sender email and select the sender email provider, click submit
- When adding or replacing a sender address, you must verify the address via a verification email sent to the inbox and click “Verify Sender Address.” Make sure you are logged in with the email that you want to add as the sender email and logged out of all other email accounts. For example, if you created or are using a marketing or sales-specific email address, be sure you are logged into that email and not your personal.
Note: Microsoft 365 aliasing is not supported
TIP: if the email address you are using is brand new, consider using an email warming tool. Email warmup is a process that improves the reputation of a new (or long-inactive) email account to increase its email deliverability. This process involves various activities such as: sending (and gradually increasing) a small number of emails each day, replying to them, marking them as important, etc. Read more about creating new domains, subdomains, and mailboxes for marketing email outreach here.
