Video and Engagement Metrics
Knowing whether a contact watched your video content is useful, but knowing how far they got tells you more about real engagement. The Contact Engagement Report captures this through dedicated columns for video activity.
Video Views each show the total number of times a contact engaged with that content type. Alongside these totals, the report also breaks engagement down by completion milestone, showing how far into the video contacts got:
25%
50%
75%
100%
Each quartile column reflects the furthest point a contact reached, not every milestone they passed along the way. For example, a contact who watched a video through to the 75% mark is counted once, in the 75% column, rather than being counted across the 25%, 50%, and 75% columns.
Because the quartile columns only capture engagement that reached at least the 25% milestone, a view that ended before that point isn't reflected in any quartile column, but is still counted in the content type's total. This is why a total, such as Video Views, can be higher than the sum of its quartile columns.
To focus on a single engagement type, such as only Video Views, use the Engagement Type filter.
